One leg of the spring broke off (Bosch dishwasher SHU 3300 around 2003 model yr). The part was simple to replace but check out this U-Tube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADy9hhRtuFY Like one reviewer suggested, cut one end of the lever and pull the old lever out. This is what I did and it was an easy fix.
