Took a while to get here, but it worked as expected.
It was a small spring, one of those parts I'd thought would have been available readily, like a screw. Not the case apparently. It took a long time to get here, but thankfully the parts catalogue referenced clearly the particular piece I needed. It's now installed and doing exactly what it's supposed to do.
