Product Description
5A - Door Shelf Retainer Bar End Cap - Right Side Specifications
This part is the replacement door shelf retainer bar end cap for your refrigerator. It is made of white plastic and measures approximately 3 inches by 4 inches. The door shelf retainer bar end cap is found at the end of the shelf retainer bar, which it connects to the refrigerator door. The main reason to change out the shelf retainer bar is if it is broken or missing, and you can’t connect the retainer bar to the refrigerator door. This part is for the right side of the end cap only. The left side end cap is sold separately. This is an authentic OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer.

Bar.
Perfect, perfect. I was rather concerned for the cost on my part and what iif it didn’t fit. The hassle of sending it back, etc. Lady at your end assured me it would. Perfect! Thx.

Door shelf bar broke
This was a really simple repair. The hardest part was getting the broken piece of the plastic end cap out of the metal retainer bar. I had to use a small screwdriver to gently pry it out of the two notches in the retainer bar. Then I just slipped on the new part, and snapped the whole retainer bar into the fridge door and that was it.
If the end cap doesn't lock into place when you slide it into the metal retainer bar, you may need to bend the bar (gently) to get the notches around the plastic clips. You don't need a lot of force to do this since all you want is to lock the end cap in place.

I ordered the parts to replace broken ones, and they arrived.
There were no directions. Everything was self-evident. It was actually impossible to screw up, although the parts did not exactly snap together immediately. A bit of juggling and a bit of careful force (you don't want to break the plastic) was needed, but I prevailed!

broken end cap in frigde and freezer
I slid off old caps, then slid on new caps. I pushed down metal holding clamps and I was finished. The whole process was about 5 minutes. The parts select web site was great. I looked up my parts on the easy to use catalog and ordered them. Make sure you save the broken parts or write down the part numbers to make finding your exact parts easier. I wish all parts web sites were as easy to use as parts select.

End caps were broken/missing on refrigerator
I installed new end caps brackets with bars by putting them in place. Now the refrigerator looks new again. These parts were installed in the door, which was broken/missing. This prevented a person from being able to store anything in the refrigerstor door until it was fixed.

Where do i find the model number on the refrigerator for a replacement part
Hello Eddie, That is a very good question! The model number of the refrigerator can be found inside the cabinet of the refrigerator on one of the walls. The sticker will be located either towards the top of the unit, or down below the drawers. You are looking for a combination of letters and numbers. Hope this helps!
