The oven does ignite but will not heat above 310f and there is the smell of gas. I am guessing that it is likely the burner itself because it does ignite and the registered temp appears reasonable considering how slow the food is baking

My Samsung gas oven is not heating up. Only the boil option is working. Others like the bake option are not working. Do you know why? I only see the igniter is burning bright orange and the Flame comes out strong in the boil option. When i use the bake option, i can hear a sound like a fan is on and the display shows heating 175 degrees. That is, and the igniter is not on.

Thank you for your question. If your oven will not work when you select the bake option, the temperature sensor may be malfunctioning and you will need to replace.
