dishes were not coming clean. I found the pump that sprays water was not running
I noticed the circulation pump was not operating. If I turned the motor with a screw driver it would start running. I replaced the pump and now the dishwasher works like new. Very easy to replace the pump but you will have to pull out the dishwasher and turn on its back. I was able to confirm the circulation pump was the problem by observing the motor not running when it should but it would run once I turned the inside motor parts(be careful!). I also had to replace the center sprayer which again was very easy.

Dishwasher will fill with water at the bottom of the tub but will not pump water to the spray arms, therefore not cleaning the dishes. It will drain and refill the tub with water as if it thinks its working properly and run its cycle.
For model number GDWF160V40SS
Hi Brian, thank you for your question. There are a number of parts that could cause this issue. First you may want to check your filter, tubing, and your spray arms for being clogged with any sort of debris. If those parts are fine then you may have to look into your circulation pump being the issue. Good luck with your repair.

The Washer blades are not turning
For model number PDW8680N20SS
Hello Harry, Thank you for your inquiry. If the spray arms are not turning, you may not be getting enough water pressure to allow them to spin. First check the pressure going into the dishwasher to make sure you are getting a good water flow. Then check the water inlet valve, the circulator pump and motor, the spray arms and spray arm supports, and the fill hoses. You can check the valve and pump with a multimeter, and check the spray arms and hoses for any leaks or clogs. Good luck with your repair.
