My touch pad works when it’s not mounted and i reattach it won’t work

Thank you for your question. If the touchpad is not working when you reinstall it to the electronic control board, the issue could be either the touchpad, the electronic control board or the connection between them. You can test the control panel with a multimeter to verify if it has continuity. If it does not have continuity, it will need to be replaced. For the electronic control board, you will need to remove it from the appliance. Check the board for signs of wear damage, or cracking. You should also inspect it for any signs of burning or shorted terminals. If your control board shows any of the symptoms described above, you may need a replacement electronic control board.
