I have heat but only low heat.the regular heat does not work. Is the rotary temperature switch 4 positions the part I need ?

Could this be a possible culprit of the dryer not heating? Ive checked all the other thromo fuses and even the heating element and all have good conductivity. Any other parts i should check before i purchase this part?
Hello Kyle, Thank you for your inquiry. This switch is usually just to select the temperature and send the information to the individual components and main control board, so if it's not sending the correct information, it may not allow the components to start. If your dryer has a temperature sensor, we would recommend testing this as well as the control board. Hope this helps!
