Rivet or fastener broke when taking old part out. Tried to glue fastener did not work. Had selection of threaded fasteners. Send new fastener with part.

Not complete or easy to install
The hook part was just fine. There were no instructions on how to remove the broken part. No instructions on how to replace new part. Not on Google either. The new part does not come with a rivet as that is sold separately. This fact is not mentioned on the order page. It took some time to get the old part off. The new part went on OK but there was nothing to hold it in place. I was able to use part of the old rivet but ended up using duct tape to hold it in place. All in all it was a very frustrating experience. I just hope the duct tape holds everything together. That is one shelf that will not be taken out for cleaning.

My local Maytag dealer could not locate this part
My Maytag refrigerator is 17 years old, and the shelf on the door needed a part. I went to 2 different Maytag dealers, but they told me the part is not available for appliances this old. I found the part I needed here, and it was pretty easy to install, once I figured out how to remove the broken part. The trick was to punch out the center of the old part with a small screwdriver, and then put it back on the new part, to hold it in place. I can now use my shelf again!

Shelf hooks broke
Replaced the part however the new rivets are not the same as the old rivets. Old ones have a flat head that doesn't interfere with re-attaching the shelf to the door and the old ones are slightly larger in diameter keeping them from slipping out when you re-attach the shelf to the door. Not happy at all about the repair. If I decide to change the position of the shelf the rivets & hooks will fall out everytime. QUITE ANNOYING!

the shelf hook broke on one side
I was able to quickly poke out the plastic snap that held in the hook . This allowed me to push the hook back up in the hole with a screwdriver and snap it back together. I had to put two toothpicks in the hooks to keep the hooks completely pulled against the shelf so I could snap it on. The toothpicks were the key to getting it snapped in.

broke the plastic shelf hook on the left side
I slide out the old hook from the casing and popped in the new one. The shelf is fixed and back in the refrigerator. I thought since the appliance was 15 years old there were no parts to be found! It was easy to find you on the internet. Thanks

hook on side of shelf broken
used screw driver to snapped out the hook and easily replaced and snapped in the replacement piece. Easy
