surface element control contacts welded shut
First step is to unplug the range. Then simple to remove top portion of two part back panel behind controls console, then remove knob and two screws for control, then use needle nose to transfer push-on connectors from old control to new control one at a time, finish re-assembly in reverse order.

Burner wouldn’t turn off.
Removed control knob. Removed back panel (3) screws with a nut driver. Removed two screws holding the burner switch. Followed the wiring exactly the way it was on the bad burner switch. Don’t forget to take a picture of the wiring before you start in case you get lost. Took about five minutes to change the switch. My wife is very happy with her operational front burner.

One of the electric range heaters could no longer be controlled. It heated up for no reason.
Pulled the range away from the wall. Took two screws off of top cover with 1/8th socket wrench. Took small Philips head screw off the top, just leaned the cover away from the top. It still held in slots at its bottom so no need to drop it away from the range. Removed the dial from the front exposing two small Philips head screws. Removed screws, and pulled the comptroller away from the rear of the range. Held the new one in the same position as the old one and removed one connection at a time, and replaced them into the new part. Did everything in reverse to put it all back together. Believe me, easy as could be and you just saved $200 repair man cost. Part matched old part exactly.

Burner kept heating even when it was turned off, needed switch replacement
1) REMOVE ELECTRIC PLUG FROM OUTLET. 2) Pull oven away from wall. 3) Remove the 3 machine screws holding in the top piece of sheet metal. 4) remove top piece of back sheet metal 5) pull knob of the front of the switch. 6) remove the two screws holding the switch to the front of stove. 7) remove wires (needle nose is helpful) one at a time and put them in the same location on the new switch. 8) put new switch into location on the stove and screw in the two front screws. 9) replace sheet metal on the back and screw in the 3 machine screws that hold it in. 10) plug in stove and move it back into position 11) put the knob back on the front and test it to make sure it works ok. 12) be sure to remove power if you need to do open the stove again to correct anything.

Replaced the Burned switches
Unplug the stow.(Important!) Remove the knobs pulling out from front of the stove. Remove the 2 screws from each knob. From rear.(3 big 4 small screws to be removed) Removing the 7 screws pull up the upper panel get access to switches. One at a time remove the wiring from old switch attach to new switch. Screw the upper panel. Install the knobs. Plug the stove. You are done! Thanks to PartSelect for their quick response.

What is the difference between the burner switch p/n wb24t10145 and p/n wb24t10146?

Hello Ercole, thank you for inquiring. On your model they are not all the same. For the large burner you will need Surface Burner Switch part PS1765835. The rest use Surface Burner Switch part PS1765836.

When control knob is turned on..front burner makes a clicking sound. all terminals on switch are connected good ..so i figured the switch is bad..what are your thoughts

When ordering an infinite switch for my electric stove, referring to the diagram for the control panel. Looking at reference #22 that reference # is used for the outside infinite switches, but i’m wondering how this can be because the two outside controls serve two different size burners? I’m wondering if the reference diagram should have a # 22 and a # 23 for each side of stove panel. I was shipped part number WB24T1045. Could you tell me what size burner this should be used for 6”or 8”

The infinite control switch. The one I need to replace has a green dot on the back of the switch. The one shipped has a red dot are they interchangeable? The smaller burners have a red dot on the back and the bigger burners have a green dot on the back just wondering if the switches are interchangeable

Hi George, thank you for reaching out. We have researched the model and would suggest checking the dual radiant element, part number PS11729126, for continuity using a multimeter. A short in the surface element might cause the burner to not shut off properly. If the electrical contacts have fused, creating a constant voltage to the burner, your surface element may need to be replaced. If the element shows continuity, the control switch, part number PS11729102, might be faulty. We hope this information helps!

The right front dual burner turns on to extreme high heat only. Which dual control switch will fix this issue?

The control switch for the front left burner would not reduce the burner temperature or even turn off. After turning the control switch off and on a few times, the burner turned off. I suspect the possibly the switch is defective and need to replaced. The diagram showed that number 23 is the required switch. However, in the list of parts with the picture of the switch needed along with its diagram number, it appears to be part number PS1765835, not PS1765836. Can you tell me which p/n is correct for the front left burner. Please note I misquoted the model number of my range. The model number stated here is correct. Thank you.
