Bake Element DE81-09769A

The bake element is located at the bottom of the inside of your oven. The bake element supplies an even heat to bake food in the oven. Elements can burn out over time and may need to be replaced. To install the new bake element, it is quite simple. You will need to turn the power off to the oven and remove the door and inner racks. The bake element will be secured in place by mount screws, which will need to be removed. The wires will need to be disconnected. You will then mount the new element into place. Be careful that the oven heat does not escape through the back end of the oven and burn the wires. All connections should be secured.
