Washer is stuck on wash cycle where it is continually filling and draining at the same time and the clock won’t advance. Will replacing the control board fix this?

Hi John, thank you for your inquiry. A washer that fills and drains simultaneously while stuck in a cycle is likely siphoning water due to an incorrectly positioned drain hose, or it has a failed pressure switch/sensor. Ensure the drain hose is not more than 5-7 inches into the drain pipe and that there is an air gap around it. Check the pressure switch, part number PS3529177. The pressure switch detects water level; if it fails or its hose is clogged/kinked, the machine cannot determine the water level and may drain continuously. Glad to be of help!
