Does the inverter control internal fan for refrigerator operation

The inverter is responsible for controlling the functions of the compressor by checking the temperatures inside the fresh food and freezer sections of the refrigerator and regulating them so these compartments remain at the correct temperatures. The main control board, part number PS12364662, would control the fan inside the refrigerator. We hope this helps!
I have 120 volts going into this unit, and 7volts on the smaller pin connector, but the compressor is not running. How does this unit control power to the compressor? Or if it has power does that mean the compressor has failed?

According to the issue description, there could be a failure in the compressor start components or the inverter board, rather than an immediate failure of the compressor itself. You will need to check the inverter board, part number PS16221315. It receives 120V AC from the main power and the low-voltage signal, then converts the power to drive the compressor at variable speeds. We hope this information helps!
