Product Description
Triple Water Valve Specifications
The triple water valve or inlet valve in your washer connects to the water source and solenoid wires, and ensures the tub has the right amount of water entering it. If your washing machine continues to fill after it is full, or if it fills slowly, you may need to replace this valve. Before you begin this repair, be sure to disconnect the water and power sources from your washer. This part is sold individually.

Worked perfectly
I'm a reasonably handy guy but not comfortable working on appliances. I overcame my trepidation and went ahead with the repair. The part arrived in an amazingly short time (ordered on Friday, arrived on Monday). Swapping out the valve went surprisingly well and the washer was back in operation very quickly. Happy wife, happy like ! I'm sure I save a load of cash doing it myself. I'll never go anywhere other than PartSelect, I give it my highest recommendation !

Washer overflowing water wouldn't stop even when turned off or unplugged.
Turns out that water valve was bad but that's not the only thing I find out after I replaced that part my washer could not register what load size is on so there is bad pressure hose and pressure switch also. Easy unplug washer turn off water remove water supply hoses then unscrew the 3 screws that are holding control panel. Disconnect old valve from the cable plug unscrew the screw that is holding water valve. Install new valve by placing it in the same place where the old one was screw the screw that holds the valve connect it to the cable plug connect water supply hoses plug plug in the washer back and turn on the water. Check for possible leaks and test your washer by choosing the smallest load.

Washer kept filling with water after it started agitating
There is a metal plate on back of the top of the washer held on by 3 screws. Removed them and that gave you access to the water valve. Water valve was fastened with 2 screws. Removed them and the hose that was connected with a clamp. Reversed the order on the installation and done. Whole job took 20 min. Now I know where to get parts. This site was awesome. Ordered the part on Tuesday, UPS delivered Thursday.

WATER ON THE FLOOR, APPARENT LEAK.
Without any research, I imagined it might be the old hoses, so I bought new ones. When attaching them, I saw the threads were stripped at the washer end of the hot water hose. I bought the valve, and unscrewed the nuts holding the console in place. The clamp on the exit hose from the valve was a bit tricky, it was hard to hold it squeezed open while simultaneously maneuvering the hose off the valve. When I received the valve it looked like the electrical connections might be very complicated, but in fact it was very simple, a single plug.

water kept flowing even after cutting the power to the machine
followed instructions on you-tube. shut off water faucets. disconnect hoses from washer. remove three hex screws from back of control panel. lean panel forward and slide to the right, then remove it and lay it down.
remove the two screws that hold the valve to the machine. use pliers to slide the clamp back and remove the hose. repeats these steps in reverse to finish job.
the first valve that partselect shipped leaked from the hot water hookup and was deemed to be defective. partselect credited my account before the part was at their warehouse. great service all around.
