The picture does not match the part? The temp control is hooked to The knob #18 but it only has 3 wires. It is not like #21

My freezer stays around -15 when on recommended setting. I will notice it cycling, but about every 6-8 months or so, the temp just rises constantly until I have to empty and unplug and let the temp get up about 50. Plug in, and it is off and running. Just inconvenient to have to empty/find alternative storage so often. Ideas?

My freezer will not hold a constant temperature. Varies between +2 to -15 The other day it stopped all together. It started developing ice around the top of the door, again. Cleaned it out and it runs, but still no constant temperature. Kind of at a loss. Any help would be appreciated.

The light bulb turns off when you close the door as the door switch is pressed down to interrupt the circuit, and it turns on to emit light when the door opens to connect the switch to the circuit. The power supply to the light is provided by the wires inside the refrigerator. This problem could be a defective reed switch, part number PS16544346, reed switch magnet, part number PS12705455, light bulb, part number PS12731499, and socket, part number PS12731500.
