This repaired the no defrost timer problem. I pretested the defrost heater by putting the old control into forced defrost and it heated up. So it must be the onboard timer that failed.

Fridge & freezer don't cool, Cooling fan is running below, I've changed the thermistor & now the capacitor. What change I try next? Or should I just scrap this 4 or 5 yr old fridge.

If fresh food and freezer sections of your refrigerator are too warm and you have replaced the thermistor and the capacitor, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. We recommend checking the condenser fan motor, the evaporator fan motor, the electronic control and harness and the defrost heater. If that is not the case, then you may need to replace the control board, part number PS12745754, to fix the issue.
