Electronic Clock Assembly 5304518660

Initially, I tested the temperature sensor and it was OK. I pulled out the range and shut off the circuit breaker to it. I removed the upper back sheet metal panel to expose the clock timer. I removed the 4 screws to it, unplugged the wires to it and plugged them into the new clock timer. I carefully removed the plastic facing stuck to the face of the old clock timer and stuck it on the new clock timer. No new adhesive was necessary. I placed the newly connected clock timer in position and secured it with the 4 screws that secured the old clock timer. I pushed the range back into position and reset the circuit breaker. I turned the oven on and the problem was resolved.

One day my wife turned on the oven and it didn't get hot. The heating element was cold even after it was turned on for a few minutes. The same story with the broiler. The stove top and timer worked fine, you could turn the oven on, it just never even started to heat up.
I ordered the new clock assembly and it got to my house in 2 or 3 days.
Once I got the new clock assembly, it was pretty easy to put in. Just take the back panel off (6 screws), unplug 5 or 6 wires, and 2 more screws and the old clock assembly is out. I peeled off the face sticker from my old clock and stuck it on the new one.
Putting it back in was just the reverse of taking the old one out. 2 screws, plugging in the wires, and then putting the back panel on.
Its been working as good as new for over a month.

First I weighted out weather it was better to repair the unit or relpace it with a used one. The stove was in good condition so a small investment of $140.00 was a no brainer, repair went off smothly once I found your web site and could see the parts I needed for the repair, also realy enjoyed the timely manor in which I received the parts, Thanks. Turn off the circuit breaker to range. Removed the back panel using a nut driver. Removed color coded wiring from old clocktimer and placed wiring on new clocktimer. Removed old clocktimer from range using a phillips screwdriver. Removed the white clock face using a utility knife, placed the white clock face on the new clocktimer. Installed new clocktimer in range using a phillips screwdriver. Replaced the back panel using a nut driver. Turn on the circuit breaker. Set the range clock to the correct time. Baked some cookies to test oven. Easy as pie :)

it was an easy repair, and i thought it was the clock /timer, but it was the probe.

I tested incoming and outgoing voltage at the timer! The timer showed to be defected!

1. turn off power to stove and pull out from wall. 2. Remove 4 screws holding rear upper panel in place, pull panel up and out to remove. 3. Remove 4 screws holding clock timer to back of raised panel. Let it dangle from attached wires. Gently peel overlay from face of old timer(if reusing). or peel off adhesive backing from new overlay and apply to face new clock timer. 4. Attach new timer to back of stove raised panel where the old one was, using the 4 screws originally removed. 5. remove each wire one at a time from old clock timer and plug into the corresponding terminal on the new one. (careful they are tight). 6. Set upper rear panel in place and fasten using the 4 screws originally removed. 7. Slide stove into place and restore power. 8. Reward yourself with fresh baked cookies!

unplugged appliance.removed back panel.removed old clock/timer by backing out 4 screws holding it in place.took of each wire one at a time as not to confuseplacement on new part. peeled front plate of old timer very carefully, placed on new part.put back in place.very easy, less than half hour.if I can do,anybody can

Un plugged from elec. took off back, and removed burned out part, and put new one in place. and it worked.
