Repaired two issues: plastic hinge tab for pantry lid on left pantry end cap and door gasket on right door had to be replaced
The videos provided by PartSelect for both repairs were excellent. Repairs went exactly as per videos. Door gasket arrived with deformations do to folding in storage and shipping. Used hair dryer to remove puckers as instructed in Video. This is a must before installing gasket.
I followed the video instructions. When it got to removing any pucker from shipping, I chose putting the gasket in a tub with hot water rather than using the option to use a hair dryer, on places I thought needed the heat.
The option worked perfectly, except with the first gasket I did not dry all the water from parts of the new gasket, so some fell on the floor as the gasket was inserted into the refrigerator door.

What are door gasket part numbers for both upper doors?

Right refrigerator door will not stay closed. Is the gasket magnetic, and if so, will the magnetic fail? There is no evidence of damage and the door gasket and seal surface are clean. Do i need to replace this gasket?Thank you

Hi Roger, thank you for your question. Yes the gasket does have a strip of magnet inside of it. Generally they do not fail but it has been known to happen. I would suggest first taking a look at your door closure bushings first. Those parts actually do wear down over time. They are on the bottom of your door and slip on to the hinge. If those parts are fine then I would suggest the gasket might be the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
