Fast Delivery, great customer service.
With just a few days before Christmas I found myself in need of a small but essential part in order to heat up my oven. On Sunday evening I called Part Select and had the needed part in my hand Tuesday morning. We were able to have turkey after all.

Fixed the slow/no oven heating up problem
Changed the igniter in the oven to fix the slow or no heat up of the gas oven. As the igniter ages the resistance increases and doesn't reach the current required to activate the gas. It was straight forward to replace it. Works great now.

Great Part
The part ordered arrived when expected and was relatively easy to install. Unfortunately, it did not resolve the problem we’re experiencing with our gas oven (not maintaining programmed heat).

Broke very easily
Thank you for getting the part out fast. We almost had this part in and then my husband accidentally touched the metal frame of the stove (not very hard at all I might say-like barely tapped it) and the flint shattered. Uhhhggggg. The instructions said not to touch it with your fingers but a little warning that it's extremly fragile would have been nice for us ignorant DIY installers. Will order again and try a second time. Fingers crossed.

Igniter failing to energize even though there was 120 volts being supplied.
Slide Range away from wall, unplug Range, remove rear cover (4) screws, removed burner assembly (5) screws, unplugged Igniter connector, loosen Igniter bracket, remove Igniter (2) screws. Reverse process to install new Igniter. I also wore latex gloves to prevent touching graphite portion of Igniter. Tested Broiler for operation, slid Range back into position. All good.

does this stove have 2 igniters one for the oven and one for the broiler if so if ones goes bad does it stop the other from working
For model number plgf390dce
Hi Brent, thank you for the question. Yes, your model comes with 2 igniters for the oven. The bake igniter for your model is part number PS1528534, and the igniter kit for the broil element is part number PS12584919. If one igniter goes bad, it does not stop the other from working. We hope this information helps!
