This inlet valve assembly controls the flow of hot and cold water into your washer, ensuring the drum fills at the correct temperature during each cycle. Located at the back of the machine where the water hoses connect, it opens and closes as needed. If the valve is faulty, you may notice slow filling, no water flow, or water entering the drum when the washer is off. This genuine replacement part is sold individually and does not include supply hoses.

If water inlet valve is bad will it cause washer to over fill?
For model number WT7300CW
Hi Ricky, thank you for the question. Yes, a faulty water inlet valve can cause a washing machine to overfill. The valve is responsible for controlling the flow of water into the machine, and if it is not functioning correctly, it may not shut off when it is supposed to, leading to excess water. The water inlet valve for your model is part number PS12580369. We hope this solves your problem!

The tub does not fill. The washing machine pressure switch failed the continuity test. It appears to remain open during the fill cycle. Applying air pressure does not change the switch from normally open to normally closed or vise-versa. However, no error codes are displayed. Also, when the power button is depressed, the "chimes" no longer respond. No sound.

Replaced Water Pressure Switch and hose. Now the tub fills, but it overfills! However, if I blow into the pressure switch while tub is filling, the water shuts off. Great water pressure and all screens are clear. The air dome is not leaking and when air is blown into hose from the top, water bubbles in tub. Is it possible for the air dome to collect debris, which plugs the opening and fails to allow water to enter the hose and form pressure as tub fills? As long as I keep air pressure applied, the washer cycles.

I have constant IE codes, water pressure is good, inlet hoses are clear and fine, filter screens are clean and new… still getting fault code every cycle. Wondering if the inlet valve could be the problem? Are they known to clog or fault? Other ideas?
