Drive Sprocket Specifications
This drive sprocket is a key component in your chainsaw, responsible for transferring power from the engine to the cutting chain, enabling it to rotate and cut efficiently. Positioned on the output shaft, it connects directly to the chain mechanism. If you notice signs of wear—such as a loose fit, misalignment, or inconsistent chain movement—it may be time for a replacement. To install a new sprocket, begin by removing the battery, chain cover, chain, and bar. Next, take off the left-handed bolt, disengage the chain brake, and carefully remove the old sprocket. Install the new sprocket along with any required washers to ensure proper alignment and minimize chain vibration. Reassemble the parts, making sure to tighten the bolt counterclockwise. This part is sold individually and is essential for maintaining smooth and safe chainsaw operation.
