This genuine OEM bumper is designed to absorb impact and protect your nailer’s internal components during operation. Positioned at the bottom of the cylinder, it cushions the piston as it retracts after driving a nail, helping maintain smooth and efficient performance. Over time, the bumper can wear out due to repeated stress, which may lead to unusual noises, reduced driving power, misfires, or visible damage—clear signs that it’s time for a replacement. Installing the new bumper is straightforward: start by removing the cap and detaching the cylinder from the tool body. With the piston and cylinder removed, take out the old bumper. Place the new bumper at the bottom of the gun using pliers, then gently seat it with the back of a screwdriver. Reinsert the piston into the cylinder, ensuring it sticks out slightly. Slide the assembly back into the tool, making sure the ridges on the driver face the rear. Finally, reinstall the cap, place the seal onto it, align the gun body with the cap, and securely fasten everything with screws. This part is sold individually.
