The replacement basket we received is actually much better than the original it replaced. The original basket did not close properly, resulting in flatware spilling everywhere in the dishwasher. We had to sacrifice room on the bottom rack of the dishwasher to fit in the old basket. This replacement has a click-lock closure that prevents this. Silverware basket opened during wash
I couldn't get dealer to order part, so went on line to see what was available. Found model and picture of part needed and ordered. It came in 3 days. Took part out of box and compared to part the needed replacing. It was a match. Removed old basket and replaced with new one. It works great and siverware stays in basket until put away.

Does this silverware basket come with the attachments for lower rack? The original ones broke so i have to attach silverware basket to the door.

The lids for the silverware basket in this unit has slots that are two different sizes and my silverware won’t fit in any of the smaller slots, so I can only use half of them. Is there another part that will fit this dishwasher that could resolve this problem? I tried shaving the slots to make them wider, but ended up cracking the lid.

Are the slots bigger than the original? Mine only allows me to put most utensils in the first row. Only small spoons fit in the others. It's the handle width. I've had this set for decades and never had this issue.

Does the silverware basket require 2 clips to be ordered separately? Or will the basket stay in place while washing without the clips? I want to be able to lift the basket out of the rack when washing is done.
