If your dishwasher isn’t cleaning dishes like it used to or making strange noises, this circulation pump might be the fix. It’s the part that pushes water through the spray arms during the wash cycle—not to be confused with the drain pump. A faulty pump can cause poor cleaning, leaks, or even stop the cycle altogether. This genuine part fits select Whirlpool models, so be sure to check yours before ordering. And don’t forget to unplug the dishwasher before installing!

Worked as expected
The part is exactly the same as the original. I used a hose clamp as I do not have a Pex cinch crimping tool for the enclosed clamp.

Works like new
I know that crimping the hose is difficult but i just removed the motor from the new housing and installed it on the old plastic housing (you will have to twist it). No leaks and is working fine. Remember to put soap on the O-ring before re-assembly.

First successful appliance repair
This part solved my problem of having my dishwasher intermittently running through an entire cycle without spraying any water. It now works every time. Getting the old assembly out was more difficult in real life than it was in the video, but that's not the part's fault.

Right part, excellent video
Not happy about buying a $200 motor for a barely 3-year-old dishwasher but at least the PartSelect made the repair process easy.

Dishes not getting washed but water draining and filling working
Remove dishwasher from under kitchen counter. Lay down washer on it's back using some towels or other soft material to protect floor. Disconnect plug from pump motor and to get to the hose clamp easily I had to remove diverter motor. Be careful and slide diverter motor out slowly as it needs to engage the disc when putting back together. This took most of the time since I had to orient the disc slot with the diverter motor shaft that has mating tongue that goes into slot. Install pump motor but use liquid dish soap as lubricant to get hose elbow and pump inlet to slide in mating parts. Be sure to lubricate with same on tang that fits into rubber slot. Tighten elbow hose clamp with proper pliers for job. Re-install diverter motor assembly. Inspect for any oops's and install washer back under counter. Hook back up to drain, water and electric power.

My dishwasher fills up with water and sounds like it is working for a few minutes, but then stops making noise until it drains. The water is hot, the soap dispenses, but just sits on the bottom of the tub. The dishes are not clean at the end, but they are wet. Would this be the correct part to replace?
For model number 665.13099N4212
Hello Jonathan, thank you for your question. Yes, it sounds like water is not being circulated through the unit to turn the spray arms and wash the dishes. We would recommend replacing the circulation pump/motor PartSelect Number PS11773089. Good luck with your repair!

Will fill with water but will not go through spray arms drains fine is it the motor/pump
For model number KDFE104DBL0
Hi Galen,
Thank you for your question. If the water is not going through the spray arms, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the filter, the turbidity sensor, the heating element, the push-in retainer clip, the water inlet valve, the motor pump, the pump, the spray arms and the drain hose. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Is there a video on changing the motor pump
For model number Wdf760sadm1
Hi Barb,
Thank you for your question. There is a video on our website that you can reference on how to install the pump. The dishwasher in the video may not show exactly like the one you have, but it will give you a general idea on how to install the part. You will find the video under part number PS11753379. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

I have water entering the dishwasher but it does not seem to be making pressure. I do not hear water going through the spray bars. It drains fine. Could this be the motor/pump or the motor?
For model number WDT920SADE1
Hello Chad,
Thanks for your question. The motor and pump assembly is the more likely cause for your issue. It can also be a good idea to examine the water inlet valve, part number PS11752927, to check if that is intact.
I hope this helps.
Hi Luwan, Thank you for the question. The most common part replaced if it is not draining would be the drain pump, PartSelect Number PS11753379.Here is a link to the video on how to do the repair. Hope this helps!

Water will not enter machine. Water valve is open. It did pump last load of water out. It will run through all cycles. Had a service man out who said it was the motor. Is it the diverted motor, or motor and pump? Unit is 4 years old.
For model number KDFE104DSS0
Hello Domenic, thank you for your question. If the unit is not pumping water through the unit, but is filling and draining you should replace the MOTOR-PUMP W11032770. Please enter the part number into the site for current price and availability. Good luck with your repair!

Im not exactly sure what's happening with my dishwasher. The inside of the tub is always dirty and my kids always say that the cups smell like throw up. Nothing seems to be getting clean. Ive had to manually clean out the dishwasher from black sludge. Its pretty nasty. I paid 700 for this machine and its been nothing but a pain. Ive had 3 repair s for it and and never had it actually working properly. Please help me!
For model number KDTE204ESS3
Hello Julie, thank you for your question. We would recommend removing the filter PartSelect Number: PS11759673 and screen PartSelect Number: PS11755148 and cleaning them well. You may also want to remove the spray arms and clean them well. Reassemble the unit and run a cycle with vinegar and water. If that doesn't clean the smell, you may want to replace the circulation pump, sump and the hoses. I hope this helps!

The machine drains. But it does not wash. Which pump would it be ?
For model number WDF750SAYM3
Hi Allen, If your washer fills with water but doesn't agitate, the problem is likely to be a faulty lid switch, a broken belt, or a problem with the motor. If it is a motor it likely would be the pump motor. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!

Does this pump heat the water as it circulates it?
For model number wdf760sadm2
Hello Stephen, Thank you for contacting us. The circulation pump only circulates the water to the spray arms. For the model number that you have provided, the heating element would actually help to heat the water, but you should still make sure there is hot water flowing into the dishwasher from the fill hoses. We hope this helps and if you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
