My appliance is designed to be used with the glass carafe. How does this part attach it? Will the stainless carafe be hot outside?

The glass carafe is available PS11755766. the thermal carafe slides in like the glass one, the stainless carafe will be much cooler to the touch the glass one. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime.
