I dropped a jar of jelly on my glass shelf insert and cracked it into million pieces.

My husband knocked a jar of olives off the above shelf which hit the glass shelf over the criper shattering it into a bazillion pieces.
I received the glass shelf in a very well protected cardboard box, removed the glass shelf from the box, and inserted it into the slot in my refrigerator! Fit perfectly.

Pulled refrigerator out so door would open all the way.Removed broken shelf and slide new shelf into slot at crisper drawer's.

Not a repair - replacement of shelf
I expected that finding a replacement glass shelf for my refrigerator would be difficult. Instead, on this site I was given instructions on where to find the model # and from there I was put into the appropriate screen with my shelf. I ordered it online and received it the next day. Nothing could have been easier......good to know because I'm sure the shelf will get broken again!

Does the glass shelf that "doubles as a cover" require a frame? I'm a bit confused by the diagram and saw another that had a frame with the glass fitting in over top. Can you clarify this for me and refer me to the part if it is needed please? Thanks.
