How to replace surface igniter part # wp8190892
Whirlpool cooktop
For model number GLS3064RS02
Hello Ivan, thank you for your question. First, unplug the power cord and remove the grates off the top of the unit. Remove the caps, and then you will locate the mounting screws securing the burner head. Detach the spark wire from the surface igniter, and tape to the top so that the wire doesn't go down inside the unit. Turn the burner head over and remove the igniter and then reverse the steps to reinstall. I hope this helps.

Some of my igniters only click once when I turn the knob, not enough to get a flame going and I end having to use a lighter. Will new igniters fix that or is it something else?

If that does not take care of the issue, then the problem is most likely to be related to the Spark Ignition switch, part number PS11745165. We hope this helps!
