Oven overheated
Shut off all electrical power to oven.
Remove 3 phillips head screws from top trim assembly and remove the trim panel. Carefully tip out the front panel. It will hang by the wires connected to the light switch or pull off those wires also and set it aside. Now remove the 4 screws holding the sub panel to the oven. Slip off the 2 spade terminal connectors on the thermostat. Remove the 2 screws holding the thermostat assembly. Remove the thermostat and unsnap the sensor assembly inside the upper panel in the oven. Pull the sensor through the hole in the top of the oven. Install the new thermostat in reverse order being careful to not kink the sensor cable.

The thermostat would not shut off the oven
first I removed the two screws on the top of the oven frame that hold the face plate on. then I tilted the face plate out and diconected the thermostat, pulled out the element from the oven and replaced with the new part. Turned the breaker back on and was finished.
