Dryer wouldn't stay on
Determined that the knob/timer assembly wasn't working properly by testing the start button when holding the knob in different places. Disassembled the timer from the back of the dryer and used information on timer to order replacement part (partselect was used after a thorough search for both price and delivery time - both were superior with partselect.com). Received the timer assembly overnight and placed in dryer with success. (Took a digital photo before disassembly to assist with reassembly).

Timer wouldn't advance.
Remove back cover plate to provide access to the timer. Remove the two screws which retain the component in place. Change wires one by one to the replacement part. Reinstall component and return screws in same order removed.

The dryer wouldn't keep running after being started.
1. took off back panel 2. unswrewed old timer 3. removed wires from old timer one at a time while each time a wire was removed it was connected to the corresponding spot on the new timer. Doing this in sequence made sure the wires were connected correctly to the new timer. 4. re-attached the new timer to the dryer and replaced the back plate.

Dryer stop working after I moved the timer setting while dryer was running. So I replaced the thermal fuse while I had the dryer away from the wall, plus the lint filter was torn.
The repair was easy, what took the longest was cleaning the lint from the inside of the dryer and the housing that holds the lint filter. The inside of our dryer is now as free of lint as the day we bought it.To make the repairs I pulled the dryer away from the wall and removed the vent hose and unplugged the dryer from the outlet.I then removed the screws from the back panel so I could replace the thermal fuse. I did this by removing one screw from the thermal fuse and pulled it free from the dryer.I then installed the new thermal fuse and screwed it to the dryer.Then I removed one wire at a time and installed them to the new thermal fuse.I then screwed the back panel to the dryer.Next I removed the screws and panel behind the control panel of the dryer so I could replace the timer.Once I could see the timer I compared my timer to the new one before doing anything else.Then I removed control knob from front of timer.Removed the screws holding old timer in place.Installed new timer to dryer with same screws and installed control knob to timer.Then I removed one wire at time from old timer and installed to new one, I did this until all wires had been connected.Then I installed the panel to the back of the control panel with the same screws.Installed new vent hose to back of dryer and plugged cord back into the outlet. Pushed dryer back into place.Remove old torn lint filter and replaced it with the new one.Wife then tried dryer out and it worked. Dryers been working just fine ever since.
Unplugged the dryer from the electrical outlet. Simply removed the screws holding the long plate behind the dryer controls. Took two screws out that attached the failed timer to the dryer. Was careful to pull wiring out of the failed timer one wire at a time, replacing the wires into the new timer so as to be sure the wires were attached to the new timer in the right sequence. Some of the wires were difficult to remove from the failed timer, needed to use a pliers or a screw driver to remove some of the wires. Attached the new timer to the dryer with two screws as the failed timer had been attached. Replaced the back panel to the dryer & plugged the dryer back in to the electrical outlet.

I broke the timer by moving it while dryer was still running
Moved dryer out into room so I could work on it. Unplugged from wall outlet and disconnected dryer vent.Removed screws from panel on the back side of the control panel.Compared timer on dryer to new one in box.Then I removed knob on front of timer.Removed screws holding timer to dryer.Installed new timer to dryer with same screws holding old timer to dryer.Placed knob on front of timer.Removed one wire connection at a time from old timer and installed to new timer.I did this until all the wire connections had been transfered.Re-installed panel on back of control panel.Connected new vent hose to dryer. ( Since dryer was away from wall I replaced my old vent hose with a new one.)Plugged dryer back into outlet and placed dryer back in place beside the washing machine.Wife then tried the dryer out and it's now working fine again.

The dryer would not start and the timer would not advance
After disconnecting the dryer and removing the upper back plate I removed the timer without removing any of the wires from it. Then I installed the new timer and placed each wire from the old timer onto the new timer in the same terminal positions that they were on the old timer. After reassembling the dryer I plugged it in and tested it and it worked correctly.

Can sometimes get dryer to start if we turn the timer slowly to find the sweet spot. Sometimes it starts and stops with the end of cycle buzzer going off. If i turn off the end of cycle buzzer it starts and stops the same way. I am thinking timer?

Cannot set the timer on normal cycle, I have to go to the bottom and it starts at 54 minutes and runs a while before I can turn it down. Can you help. If I leave it in that cycle it will run then if i leave it in that cycle it will run the full 54 minutes

When i first set timer it will trip breaker. When i reset breaker and don't touch timer again, and just push the on button, everything works fine.

Dryer switch has been slowly dying in the "timed dry" mode, sounds like a whine down and quit. However, i have found that the dryer turns on just fine in acuudry mode. Is the switch the problem? Please confirm part and is this just a screw off and screw back in dyi?

My dryer runs fine on timed dry only. All other modes the timer does not move.

Thank you for your question. If the timer is not advancing on anything except the timed dry cycle, you will need to check the timer and the cycling thermostat. To test the timer, disconnect your dryer from the power source and remove the control console. Locate the timer. In some models, you will be able to remove it for testing at this stage, in other models, you will also need to remove the rear panel behind the control console. Set your multi-meter to Rx1 and place the probes on the terminals. You are testing for continuity and should have a reading between 2000 and 3000 ohms. If your test returns a reading outside of this range, you need a replacement timer motor. To test the cycling thermostat, Unplug your dryer and open your dryer’s cabinet. Locate your cycling thermostat, it is often found on the blower housing or elsewhere in the airflow ducting. Test the thermostat for continuity by using a multi-meter on Rx1. To do this, touch the probes to the thermostat’s terminals.
If you receive a reading other than infinity or zero, you need a replacement cycling thermostat. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day.

Hi Laurel, thank you for the question. According to our research, the cause of the problem is either a defective door switch or a malfunctioning timer control. We recommend checking the door switch, part number PS11741701, with the switch button not depressed, touching one probe on the common terminal and the other between the normally open and normally closed terminals of a multimeter. If this is fine, we suggest checking the timer, part number PS11741713, and the thermal cut-off kit, part number PS334299. If the issue remains, you may need to replace the electronic control board, part number PS11755390. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!
Dryer would not work at all on accu dry setting it only worked on timed dry. Then it wouldn’t dry but would tumble on all settings. I had a repairman install new heater parts but it still will not heat. What should we look at next.
