Just added a full home water filter system, an i'm looking for a filter bypass.

Is this cap considered to be a bypass plug? Our water to the refrig is already going thru a filtration system and the filter in the refrig is not needed. If it is not can you recommend the right item?

I do see a very slow drip of water from the water filter housing. I ordered new filter (wf-lc400) but it won't come with cap. I suspect if buying this cap (ps11739086) will solve the drip problem! Please advise.

The above model nbr is for my Whirlpool refrigerator. Inadvertently the water filter cap was thrown away with the old water filter. I need a new cap and am wondering if p/n #ps11739086 is a match for the above refrigerator model?
