Missing center track for crisper drawers
Remove the glass shelf and the support frame. Bend the front clip on the track back far enough to fit into slot on frame. Insert the back end of the track into the opening at the back of the frame. Press the front end of the track into the retainer slot in the frame. Reinstall the frame and glass shelf. Done.
We decided to use our crisper drawers to store sodas. Duh..bad plan. The rail that holds the drawers up cracked in half. So we just had the drawers sitting on the bottom of the fridge. So, I got the new rail THE DAY AFTER I ORDER IT! I just recycled the old one, and slid the new one in. Presto. Perfect fit. Actually, better then perfect. There must have been a defect with my old one, because the new one actually SNAPPED into place, instead if just sitting in the frame. So..I am really pleased.

Broken track replacement
The majority of the repair time was spent moving the items in the refrigerator off the glass top under which the track was to be placed. After that, the track was a cinch to put in its place (it's pretty idiot-proof). Perhaps the track wouldn't need replacement if it were made of something stronger than plastic, but I felt pretty handy doing this for my wife, and she's glad to have the hydrator drawers back in proper operation.

Crisper drawer rail broken at one end
The rail just snapped into place with a light pressure. I worried it would require manipulation or heavy pressure and I would break the end while installing it.

latch end of track broke when too full jammed drawer was forced
PartsSelect diagrams at their website made it easy to find and order the right part at a reasonable price. I removed the lower glass shelf and frame that supports it. I removed broken track and slipped in the new track and snapped it in place with the orifice at the rear of the track over small peg in the back of the frame. If I had called a regular refrigerator repair man, i'll bet this job would have cost me at least 70 or 80 dollars,

The track that held up the drawers broke
I removed the food off the glass shelf. I removed the drawer and lifted out the frame that holds the glass shelf. I removed the glass and the broker track and put in the new track. I put the glass back in then put it into the refrigerator.

Please explain crisper's humidity levels. In other words "why should i set it on high or low"? Are there vegetables that need different humidity levels?

Hi Paul,
Thank you for your question. On the high setting, the slot is completely closed and prevents any air from circulating throughout the crisper drawer providing a higher humidity inside the drawer. Leafy green vegetables should be kept under high humidity. The low setting allows air to circulate through the drawer keeping moisture levels down. So, any vegetables or fruits that do not require low humidity should be placed on the low setting. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
