Plastic fan broke
took the cover off (cardbord) the fan will come off and go back on by hand no tools needed i changed the fan motor just to be sure. 3 little screws hold it on. the plug only goes on one way u can't mess it up.very easy job u shouldn't have any problems doing it.Jim
The part i recieved, from parts select was a larger in circumfrence (<1/4) than the original. However i was not aware of this until after i treid to repair it.
I removed the broken fan from the condenser. This was very sipmle.
When i pluged the refridgerator back in to the outlet the fan tried to start up but soon began to make aloud noise, due to there not being enough clerance.

Fridge started making a loud racket. Condenser Fan Blade then disintegrated to dust and pieces. The plastic had degraded significantly.
The repair itself total time was quick and easy. Since the original fan blade blew apart, it was only a matter of putting the new one on in it's place. This can be done by feeding the blade between the cowling and Condenser coil and applying pressure to get it on the shaft.
If your fan is still on the shaft, simply push it off and extract it the same way. Then place the new one on the shaft.
In my case, since the part would take a couple days to get, and I had food both in the fridge and the freezer, I removed and unplugged the Condenser Fan Motor and the cowling frame and temporarily spliced a small fan I had into the line for the condenser motor. This kept the fridge working long enough to get the replacement part.
Side note. Direction of airflow is towards the Compressor, and draws air across the Condenser coils.

The new motor mount screw holes were not threaded.
I had to tap the screw holes with a 8/32 tap so that the screws would not bind.

Where is the access to this fan? Inside or do i have to move out the refrig?

Does this part come with the small washer and spring clip for retaining it to the blower motor shaft? Or will those fasteners be included with the blower motor part?

Hello Isaac, thank you for your inquiry. We have found that the condenser fan blade, part number PS11703633, is sold individually. It does not come with a washer and spring clip. It just snaps in on the motor's shaft. We hope this information is useful!

My refrigerator makes birds twittering noise.The noise does not seem from the blade fan.

Thank you for your question. If your refrigerator is making a chirping sound, both the evaporator and condenser fan motors should be checked. Pull the refrigerator out and check to see if there is dust or dirt around the condenser fan motor, the compressor and the coils. If there is dust and dirt, clean it. If the fan blades are rubbing up against something, then you may hear a chirping sound. If the components holding the fan blades in place are worn or damaged, this noise may occur. If there is an ice buildup where the evaporator fan motor is located and the blade is rubbing against it, you may hear this sound. If there is an ice buildup, defrost the refrigerator.
