The center burner will not ignite. This stove is 10 years old. We tried to light the burner, could hear the igniter sparking but the burner wouldn't light. We took the burner apart and cleaned a lot of grease out and reassembled. It still would not light it is getting gas and will light but the Flame is very low. Why will it not ignite and have a normal Flame

Hello, thank you for your inquiry! Most often when the burner is getting gas but will not light properly, it is because the electrode is faulty. You can either purchase the central burner and cap, which includes the electrode, or you can purchase the electrode on its own - PartSelect Number PS952858. We hope this helps!

Difference between ps3510621 oval burner asm vs ps1018858 central burner and cap. One is a newer model? Would appreciate any info you can give. Thank you...sue

Have an issue with our seldom used central burner and cap assembly (GE part #wb16k10053). Even after cleaning it does not light all around the oval in many instances only part of the way. If we buy the part and it doesn't work, can we return it?Noah

Hello Noah, thank you for your question. You can return parts that do not show any signs of installation. If the part shows any signs it was used, we cannot refund for that returned part. It definitely sounds like the burner cap issue though. If the gas isn't lighting all the way around, the cap and burner would be our recommendation to replace. I hope this helps!
