This is an authentic replacement part manufactured for use with DeWalt circular saws. Brushes are wear items because they are pressed against the spinning armature. Worn out brushes can overload the motor causing smoke or sparks. Replacing worn brushes is required to maintain the circular saw. This brush is sold as an individual replacement part.
