Right switch light wont turn on and element dosent heat

Hello Tom, You may have a problem with the Range Surface Element Control Switch. Surface element control switch WP9763762 turns the surface element on and off and controls how much heat the element produces. Unplug the range or shut off the house circuit breaker for the range before installing this part. Wear work gloves to protect your hands. I hope this helps!

I dropped a cast iron pan on my cook top and put a pretty bad crack in it. I continued to use it just not the back left burner where it is cracked. I used the stove and oven all day today, with no problems until tonight i am getting a error on the message board on the front of the stove.F6EO

Hello Valerie, thank you for your question. You will need to try to do a reset first. Turn the circuit breaker off for 60 seconds to see if the electronics will reset. The Error F6EO means there is a communication error between the main control board and the interface control board. The Main Board is PS11749720. The Display Board PS11747328. We hope this helps.
Something Kitchen Aid wont tell you but running a self clean on this model stove blows the fuse located on the back of the stove.
First I slid the stove out and removed the back of the stove held in place by 8 Phillips screws. The thermostat fuse is located near the top middle on the back of the stove. Remove the 2 screws holding it in place. Disconnect the wires, plug in the new part. Put it all back together. Job done in less than 30 minutes.
This repair would have cost $164 through A&E factory service.
