Freezer is below freezing. Fridge is 60 degrees. I replaced the evaporator fan.
For model number WRX988SIBM00
Hello Ted, Thank you for your inquiry. We have researched your model and recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: the temperature sensor/thermistor, defrost heater and the damper control assembly. There are also two evaporator fan motors in this model, one in the freezer that also has the defrost thermostat-PS11770336, and one in the refrigerator-PS8691851. If you have replaced one, the other may need to be replaced as well. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. Hope this helps.
Is there a seperate fan for the refrigerator part of this unit. If so where is it?
For model number WRX988SIBM00
Hello Faye, Thank you for your inquiry. We have researched the model number that you have provided and show that there is a separate fan for the refrigerator section and is located behind the evaporator housing in the refrigerator. We hope this helps and if you need help placing an order for a part, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

When I opened the ref door, there was water dripping from the ice maker. I lifted the chute and there was water in the maker. Ice in the dispenser in the door. what could be the issue?
For model number WRX988SIBM00
Hello Angela, thank you for your question. Our research shows that it could be low water pressure. The water inlet valve needs at least 20 psi to work properly. If it is not getting that water pressure, then the valve may not close all the way when it stops flowing. The effect of this is that water will continue to slowly drip into your ice maker, overfilling it. We hope this helps.

Why is my fridge leaking water when bottom drawer’s are opened ?
For model number WRX988SIBM00
Hello Lorena, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, the issue could be with the drain funnel, part number PS5573853. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. Glad to be of help!
Hello Linda, Thank you for your inquiry. You should be able to twist the old filter counter clock wise to the left and pull it out. If it is sticking then there may be an issue with the housing, or with the o-rings on filter prongs. To remove the housing to try and get the filter out, remove the two screws found just in front of where the filter sits. Then, using a putty knife, the cover panel would need to be pulled down at the front where it has a seam at the top front. This will allow access to the filter housing to be able to pull it out and detach the old filter. We hope this helps and if you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
I used a flat-head screwdriver to pop out the old light rocker switch. Then, I unplugged the wires, plugged them into the new light rocker switch, and then popped the new switch into the hole. That's it! Lights began working again.
Purchased new motor from Partselect.com. When it arrived it came with a new rubber washer that fitted on top of new motor that was not on old motor, that how water got into old motor. However, the instruction sheet did not give info on how to access the proper way to the motor that is the door. Not wanting to damage the freezer door assy. called in a tech who made it look easy, but even he had a little problem locating access panel that was directly under the motor in the freezer side of the door. After that it was a piece of cake.
I used a flat screwdriver and released the lock tab on the bottom of the light switch, and pried the switch out, being careful to not damage the plastic around the mounting place of the switch, unplugged wiring from old switch, plugged in the new one and pushed the new switch into place. Job finished light switch now working.
