Hi Jerry, thank you for contacting us. According to our research, the issue seems to be with the evaporator fan motor, part number PS11740359. A faulty evaporator fan motor might generate noise and also not circulate the air properly, causing the refrigerator's internal temperature to rise. We would recommend checking it for continuity using a multimeter. We hope this information helps!
Do you have parts such as the whole door with it's own hinges?

Hey my fridge is warm ,I've changed the thermistor,the compressor run capacitor and start device,and the evaporator motor and it's still warm. the compressor motor seems to be working so not sure where to go next.

Hi I am testing my thermistor on my whirlpool fridge,I can't find the resistance values on my fridge .I am getting 7.86 in ice water and 2100 to 3100 in room at 58 degrees Fahrenheit. Is this way off and why it ices up still once in a while and temps fluctuate. I've replaced thermistor 4 times but with cheap amazon ones and I've replaced the evap fan ,condenser motor , the compressor run capacitor and start device.

Hello Ryan, Thank you for your inquiry.Thermistor(s) will produce different multi-meter readings based on their temperature when you test them. The ranges below only apply to thermistors at 32 degrees F. Before testing them, you will need to place the thermistor(s) in ice water for 5 minutes to bring the temperature to 32 degrees F. Set your multi-meter to the Rx1 setting and touch the probes to the terminals, you should receive a reading of 16,600 ohms (+/- 5 percent). Researching the model number that you have provided, you may also want to check the control boards, and the defrost heater as well. Good luck with your repair.
I knew the chances of all the freon leaking out was unlikely so I looked at the wiring to the compressor and there was a capacitor and a starter/overload so i figured I would start there. I went on line and found the parts at this site and they were less than the minimum service call charge for a service tech so I figured what the heck let's give her a shot so I did give it a shot. I ordered the parts and they were there in less time than a service tech could come out and i installed the parts and guess what for 90.00 in parts and 15 minutes in time I repaired my refrigerator. Thanks guys, It took less time to order the parts than it did to make the repair so thanks, your website rocks and is very well designed so my hat is off to you guys!
The reason I repaired it myself was because the repairman that diagnosed the problem.didn't come back in two weeks. The evaporator fan sits behind a vented wall in the freezer and directs cold air into freezer and refrigerator.I removed the ice make assembly first and then the freezer wall held in place by two sheet metal nuts. Then removed wires from fan motor. Removed the fan blade from fan motor,which was press fitted on,then removed fan motor from bracket assembly(make sure and retain the two vibration rubber washers on back and front of motor. Reinstall new motor with vibration washers and press fan blade on new motor. Install in bracket assemble and reassemnble.
I used a flat-head screwdriver to pop out the old light rocker switch. Then, I unplugged the wires, plugged them into the new light rocker switch, and then popped the new switch into the hole. That's it! Lights began working again.
