"Door Ajar" icon stays on all the time.
For model number WRF555SDFZ05
Hi Edward,
Thank you for your question. If the door ajar icon is lit, see if the doors are sealing properly. According to the Whirlpool website, if the doors are not making contact with the door switch the door ajar symbol will appear on the display. Check to make sure bins, shelves or food packages are not preventing the door(s) from closing correctly. Check to make sure the refrigerator is leveled front to back and side to side to ensure the door switch is making proper contact. Check to make sure the floor under the refrigerator is also level. If the floor is not level shims may need to be used. If you have any questions, please let us know. We look forward to hearing from you!

The ice maker stopped working. At first the water dispenser stopped, honestly don't know what I did to get it working again, but the ice maker is still not working
For model number WRF555SDFZ05
Hello Peter, thank you for reaching out. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend checking the water inlet valve, part number PS11775241, to fix the issue. It supplies water to the refrigerator ice maker and water dispenser. We hope this solves your problem!

I can’t get my ice bin out I think it’s has frozen up I can hear the motor running when I’m trying to to get ice but only one or two pieces make come out
For model number WRF555SDFZ05
Hi Marilyn, thank you for reaching out. If the ice bin is frozen, you can try defrosting it. Leave the freezer door open for a while to allow the ice to melt. You can also use a hair dryer on a low setting to warm the area around the ice bin gently, but be careful not to overheat any plastic parts. Sometimes, ice cubes can get stuck and block the mechanism. Carefully check for any visible obstructions and remove them. We hope this solves your problem!

The poorly designed deli drawer lid tab broke off
Removed the fruit & veggie drawers & the deli (pantry) drawer. Took out the 3 screws, removed the attached parts, put them on the replacement part, reattached it and put the drawers back in.
Here's the part I want to share: PartSelect had a expanded diagram showing the correct part and sufficiently detailed to figure out the repair before the part arrived. That's why I ordered from them. Secondly, I ordered the part Thursday morning--and the thing was sitting on my porch when I came back in from my evening out Saturday--2 days later!!!

Dropped a jug and broke the lower drawer hinge pin
Remove food off of lower shelf, remove the two produce drawers, remove large lower drawer, remove glass shelf, remove three screws holding end cap in place. Once end cap was removed the drawer track could be removed and placed on new end cap. Installation of new end cap took less than 5 minutes. Most of the time spent was removing/replacing food and cleaning the shelf/bins. PartSelect was awesome BTW!
