Is there a door switch or other mechanism that cuts icemaker off other than arm on icemaker itself. This is on bottom drawer freezer.
For model number WRF535SWHZ01
Hi William, thank you for the question. Based on our research, your ice maker has an automatic shutoff. As ice is made, the ice cubes will fill the ice storage bin and the ice cubes will raise the wire shutoff arm to the off position. It does not have other mechanism to shut off. We hope this information helps!

I cannot get any water to fill the ice maker. Water will come through to water dispenser. Where do I need to start to fix this problem?
For model number WRF535SWHZ01
Hi Kathryn, thank you for reaching out. We would suggest checking the water inlet valve, part number PS11754529. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!
I replaced water filter 24 hours ago and now the ice maker will not work
For model number WRF535SWHZ01
Hello Dennis, thank you for writing. Make sure you check the nipple where the filter goes. If it's not getting all the way pushed in, you will get a trickle of water or nothing. Proper alignment is the key. We hope this helps.

What is the black button by the ice machine for? I know if the bar is down, it will make more ice. If it is up and will not make ice. We just don't know how the button affects things?
For model number WRF535SWHZ01
Hello Sheron, thank you for getting in touch. According to our research, the black button/arm gives you manual control over the ice maker's on/off switch. The black button located near the ice machine probably functions as a manual shut-off for the ice maker. When the arm is in the down position, the ice maker is activated and will generate ice until the bin reaches its capacity, at which point the arm is raised. Conversely, when the arm is in the up position, the ice maker is deactivated and will cease to produce ice, irrespective of the level of ice in the bin. We hope this helps.

Pressed in the end of the filter cover, lowered it down part way. Twisted the old filter 1/4 turn and removed it. Set in the sink to drain. Inserted new filter and twisted it to lock. closed cover. Done. Total time @ 1 Minute.
Having seen this problem before in other equipment so I had an idea where to look. Problem: the automatic defrost function was not operating. Looking through openings in the back panel of the freezer compartment, you could see the evaporator coils and fins were a solid chuck of ice. There are three logical components to check. Heater element, thermostat (located just above the evaporator) and a relay on the control board (located in the fridge control panel). Checked the heater with an ohm meter -- OK. The thermostat closes the circuit at around 20 degrees and opens at around 32 degrees. Pulled out the thermostat, wiring, fan unit. Everything unplugs, unscrews, and unclips, don't cut wires. Put the whole assembly in a friends freezer for an hour or so to see if the thermostat closes -- OK. Problem had to be with the control board. Replaced control board, reprogrammed it per included instruction. Everything is working again.
Removed the fruit & veggie drawers & the deli (pantry) drawer. Took out the 3 screws, removed the attached parts, put them on the replacement part, reattached it and put the drawers back in.
Here's the part I want to share: PartSelect had a expanded diagram showing the correct part and sufficiently detailed to figure out the repair before the part arrived. That's why I ordered from them. Secondly, I ordered the part Thursday morning--and the thing was sitting on my porch when I came back in from my evening out Saturday--2 days later!!!
