After it finished drying and light was off the red lock light was still on and could not open the door. Also saw cd displayed in panel. What does cd mean? Also during the spin cycle there was something knocking around hitting the drum. It eventually stopped like it fell down. Drum is also a little loud when spin cycle. I got the door to open by running the spin/drain cycle again and when it finished the red lock light was gone and the door can be opened.

Hello Michael,
Thank you for your question. The 'CD' display message indicates that the combo unit is in cool down mode. This is normal. When the drying cycle is complete, the 'CD' message displays. The cool down operation will periodically tumble the load with no heat to rearrange and fluff the clothing to avoid wrinkles for up to 4 hours. As for the lid lock light not switching off after a cycle, the lid lock switch under part PS3529315 for your model would need to be checked to see if its defective. Finally, the part that made the drum louder after it supposedly fell off is possibly one of the shock absorber's under PS3583320 for your model that keeps the tub level while it spins. We hope this helps.
It doesn't spin or drain and error code oe that a drain pump
For model number WM3431HW
Hello Barbara, Thank you for the question. OE error code indicates the washer is not able to drain the water used for the wash cycle. OE can be caused by a kinked drain hose or a clogged drain pump. If the Hose and Pump are clear, the Pump may need to be replaced. We hope this helps!
Mashing is not drying as well even after setting time for 2 1/2 hrs. Even then I'm having to sit dry clothes. It used to dry at 1 1/2 hrs. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you

Hi Mary, thank you for your inquiry. Clean the lint screen after every load, as lint buildup is the most common cause of reduced drying efficiency. Inspect and clean the dryer vent hose behind the dryer, ensuring it's not kinked, crushed, or blocked with lint. Check the external vent hood on your house to make sure it's opening properly and isn't clogged. If this does not help, you will need to replace the heating element, part number PS3527798, to fix the issue. Glad to be of help!
Removed the top of the washer by removing the 4 back screws and 2 small brackets. Then I removed the front panel, this was actually the hardest part, 2 screws and 8 tabs that you pop out carefully from the top of the panel. I only disconnected the power button and was able to rest the panel on top of the washer. The rest of the washer came apart quickly just moving down the front of the washer and removing the door, latch, tub gasket, drain cover. Removing the pump was just a mater of disconnecting the drain hoses, and one clip under the drain assembly. 3 screws attach the drain to assembly to the pump and only 2 wires that are clearly marked. Reassembly is just going back through in reverse order of disassenbly. The best thing about this is that it all comes apart with a standard phillips screwdriver.
Thank you for the very helpful YouTube video. After watching the video, I was able to diagnose the problem, buy the part from your website, and complete the repair. This is my personal machine - I am not a professional repairman.
There are two pumps in this system. I turned the washer on its side and took off bottom plate. There are several screws holding this on. I then took the entire pump assembly off. There are 3 screws holding each pump on the brown plastic body. Each pump has a positive and negative lead. I switched out the pump and reassembled. The hardest part is getting the 3 "shock absorbers in place with the rubber sleeves. I think the book suggest getting to the pump from the front side but I went through the bottom. Worked good. I did wonder however if the other pump was working. Do you need two pump working to get flow? By replacing one pump I went from no flow to good flow. Cost me $75.00
