Says heat sensor is bad

Hi Craig, thank you for contacting us. The heat sensor for your model comes attached with the heating element, part number PS12711505. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope that helps!
My washer door just flew open mid-wash cycle and almost ripped my washer out of the wall. The door catch strike (part of the latch connected to the door) snapped off into the other assembly part that's connected to the washer front. It also broke the entire front plate that covers the detergent bay. I can't find replacements and need help. I don't need to replace the lock assembly, only the plastic latch that connects to the door and the plastic plate that covers the detergent bay.

This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.
