Power OFF. Move dryer away from the wall. Make sure the knob is in the "OFF' position. Remove screws (2) holding top cover from back of dryer. Remove "BOSCH" cover plate from left side of front cover. There is a screw here holding the cover to the frame. Gently pry cover away from framework, being careful not to damage the cover clips. Once away from the dryer, remove the plug from the board. You will need to remove the board from the back of the cover to gain access to the knob. Make sure the knob aligns with the "OFF" position before reassembly. Reverse the the instructions for reassembly.
I read another review that they had trouble fitting the part. The only "trick" I found is that as the drum is obviously round, you really have to have all the fastening hooks front and back of the replacement part exactly lined up with the receptacle slots on the drum. Perhaps not as easy as it sounds as the metal is polished and the plastic easily slides a millimeter either way and away from the slots. And I also pushed down front and back on the part as I slid the whole thing forward into position. I was rewarded with a very satisfying click as it locked into place. Took three or four attempts but it fits and stays and is an exact replacement even if the numbers embossed on the part are different to the part which broke loose. Part arrived on a Saturday, less than 48 hours from my order. I have another spare for future needs as plastic agitator paddles clearly take a beating over several years.
