How do you know when the oven control board should be replaced?
For model number PB975TT1WW
Hi Sharon, thank you for reaching out. If the display on your oven is blank, and none of the buttons are working or it is beeping and changing display when you press the buttons, but it still won't function properly, then it indicates a faulty oven control board. We hope this information helps!

Another question...stand alone double oven GE Profile range was having temp issues in lower and upper ovens. We ordered temperature sensors for both. Bottom oven now working fine, however, the upper oven is erratic - way too hot (350 setting but oven temp raises to 475-480). Someone suggested we need a new control board but nothing else is amiss except for the upper oven temp). Any suggestions as to why and what we can do about it? I have 22 people coming for Christmas dinner and need two ovens in working order! Thanks...Sharon
For model number PB975TT1WW
Hello Sharon, thank you for contacting us. Provided that the temperature sensor is good, we would recommend checking the control board, part number PS3650629. It monitors the temperature and controls the oven heat and can be tested with a multimeter to ensure its functionality. Customer service is available 7 days a week if you require assistance placing an order. Thanks again for reaching out!
Removed six 1/4" hex nuts on rear of oven. Then through front/inside removed a single 1/4" hex nut to actually remove sensor. Unplug sensor connector, remove. Reversed steps, push oven back in place and plugged in. Tested oven function.
I had to remove the oven from the wall because the sensor plug connction is behind the unit. Two screws hold the sensor inside the oven and then I disconnected the lead and pulled the sensor out from the front. I installed the new sensor, tightened the two screws holding it in and connected the lead. Then reinstalled the oven into the wall. Overall, a very easy repair once you get the oven out.
Unplugged appliance and removed 5 screws on back of stove/oven and removed plate. Disconnected the sensor and unscrewed it on the inside of the oven. Pulled the cord through and replaced with new sensor. Replaced all parts and plugged in the appliance and tested. Worked great.
