On this model of refrigerator is there a water filter/strainer prior to the charcoal filter, for example, where the main water line connects to the fridge?
How often have you run across a water shut off valve at the water system for the fridge being defective? I know I do not have an electrics problem but a water flow issue. Would appreciate any ideas. Many Thanks!

A clogged, old, or improperly seated water filter is the most common reason for low water flow. If it has been 6 months or longer since the last replacement, you may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
We replaced the water inlet valve PS3497634 and water now comes out of the door again. There is a loud clicking sound while the water is dispensing which stops when it is finished.

I searched the model number for my Whirlpool refrigerator on the internet and partselect.com came up so I clicked on it.
