Im a degreed a/c engineer and business owner contractor. Question : Ice maker will not do anything at all. I jumped the 120 volts from the water despensor solenoid and pressed the h2o and sent the voltage to the ice solendid and sure enough the ice tray filled with h2o and froze the h2o and has been sitting there for days it will not do anything. Brand knew ice maker, i destroyed the other one. Im thinking its the control board at the back bottom left hand side in that white pc of cr-- box with all the made to fail black rectangle relays that fail on all a/c boards. Thoughts. Thanks r

I knew the chances of all the freon leaking out was unlikely so I looked at the wiring to the compressor and there was a capacitor and a starter/overload so i figured I would start there. I went on line and found the parts at this site and they were less than the minimum service call charge for a service tech so I figured what the heck let's give her a shot so I did give it a shot. I ordered the parts and they were there in less time than a service tech could come out and i installed the parts and guess what for 90.00 in parts and 15 minutes in time I repaired my refrigerator. Thanks guys, It took less time to order the parts than it did to make the repair so thanks, your website rocks and is very well designed so my hat is off to you guys!
First I shut the water off to the refrigerator.then i pushed the big button in the middle of the grille below the refrigerator door. pulled out the old filter, took the front cap off the old filter put it on the new filter. took the two red caps off the new filter. pushed the filter in till it locked in place. all done! Turned the back on.
