Can the handle to this microwave be replaced? How difficult is it to do so? Thanks for any info you can provide.
For model number MH3184XPB4
Hello Jennifer, Thank you for your inquiry. We have researched the model number you have provided and show the handle as part# PS2352648. Although we do not have instructions for this exact part number, we do have the following general instructions. Use a putty knife to remove the door liner from the frame. Depending on the model, you should now be able to access the handle screws or may have to remove the inner door liner using a Philips head screwdriver to take out the screws and the putty knife to undo the inner panel. You should now be able to access the handle screws and take them out and attach the new handle. Reattach the inner door panel and snap the door liner back in place. For safety reasons, since the microwave capacitor can still store electricity even when the microwave is unplugged, it is usually advised that you discharge the capacitor before any attempt at repair. We have included a link on how to do so. https://www.partselect.com/Microwave+discharge-capacitor+repair.htm We hope this helps and if you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
Adjusted clips inserted grill less then two minutes. It took me longer to unwrap the package then it took to install.Ordered part on line 10:45 am delivered 2:30 pm next afternoon.Less then 28 hours later. What service.
Purchased new part online. Partselect parts list indicated 3 different part numbers with no other distinction. As a result, I accidentally ordered the wrong color. I had to mail the part back and reorder. Partselect should correct their parts lists to indicate the color of the part. Once I had the right part, installation was simple.
