The door is not closing, what can i do?
For model number MH1160XSQ4
Hello Melisa, thank you for your question. The most common cause of the door not closing are the following parts. Top Interlock Support Part Number: WP8206419, Interlock Part Number: WPW10156813, and Interlock Spring Part Number: W10156812. We would recommend inspecting/replacing those parts first. In the middle of operating, the door close door message came on screen. Microwave now will not operate, due to saying close door. Suggestions ?

Hello, Thank you for your question. If your microwave is displaying "door" it is caused by either a bad door switch or a loose door switch mount. These issues can be caused by slamming the door or by failing to hot the cancel button before opening the door while the microwave is still running. You will need to check the door switch to make sure it is working correctly and you will need to check mounts to see if they are out of place. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The nightmare was that this microwave is installed under the cabinet....in order to get to the light bulb I had to pull out my stove then squeeze into the space between the stove and counter....my old microwave light bult was much easier to change.....Shame on Whirlpool for making this so difficult.....must be a better way to cover the light bulb so that we do not need a screwdriver to remove the door to get to the light bulb
