My cooktop knob melted
I had used a pan too large for the middle burner - result: melted knob. Just pulled the old one off (up and straight) and then pushed the new one down firmly. Make sure the indicator line is pointing at you, so the flat side of the spindle matched the flat side of the hole on the knob. Easy peasy.

One control knob got partially melted by a hot pan touching it.
I never did receive the part. It was a knob. Part numberPS11744700. Must've got lost in the mail. Thanks. Thomas Horne, 266 Eedmont Ct., Rogersville,Tn 37857?............P.S. The cost of it cleared my bank.
