The right front burner turns on initially and then turns off. Is this the element or a switch and if so what is the part number I need? Thanks
For model number MER6600FZ2
Hello Douglas, thank you for getting in touch. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest checking the surface element switch, part number PS11740783, to solve the problem. A malfunctioning surface element switch can most probably cause this issue. We hope this helps!
my cook top hot light stays on even after it cooled for hours
For model number MER6600FZ2
Hi Bruce, thank you for the question. According to our research, the contacts in one of your burner switches are stuck closed. Now, this is not a functional problem, but the light will stay on all the time so you will not have a reminder anymore if you accidentally leave one of your burners on. If you want to fix the issue, you will need to take the cooktop apart and flip the breaker off to the unit. Then unplug all the wires to one of the burner switches (the part that the knobs slide onto) and then re-apply power. If the light goes out, that is the burner switch you need to replace. If the light stays on, flip the breaker off again and reconnect all the wires to that switch. Try the next switch until you find the switch causing the problem, then replace that switch. We hope this solves your problem!

There is power as the light and display works. It is get both legs 240V. But nothing heats up....no oven and no burners. Would this be the control board and, if so, do you sell it? thanks
For model number MER6600FZ2
Hi William, thank you for reaching out. Before replacing the control board, we would suggest checking the terminal block, part number PS11750972. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
Does this stove have extra large burner 9 1/2 or does the 8 inch fit?
For model number MER6600FZ2
Hello Laverne, thank you for reaching out. Your model comes with 2 large burners on front. The left front burner, part number PS16543522, is 9 3/4 inches and the right front burner, part number PS11775308, is 10 inches. We hope this helps!
Opened up the back of the stove. Unpluged the sensor. Replaced the sensor. Replace the back of the stove.
The sensor that has been replaced is not what is expected. After reading all of the instructions for adjusting the temperatures, the only temp that stays steady is when we first turn on the oven to 350 degrees. That stays steady but when I turn it to 400 it slowly goes up to 425 degrees.
removed the screws holding the back metal panel, this exposed the wires to the switch. tested the wires to find that they were live when the switch was in the off position. ordered a new switch. UNPLUGED THE STOVE. removed the knob on the front of the stove. this exposed 2 screws, removed screws and the switch came away from the stove. removed each wire from the old switch and replaced them in the same position on the new switch. inserted new switch into the stove and attached the 2 screws. replaced back panel and pluged in stove. all tested well
We felt the only possible problem could be the switch assembly. I removed the switch panel, removed the wires from the old switch, one at a time, removed the old switch assembly and installed the new switch assembly. The extended stem did have to be snapped off (per your instructions) and that too was a very simple task.
