Dryer not heating. What could be the problem?
For model number MEDC200XW1
Hi Jaime, thank you for your question. Looking at your model information there are a few parts that you should take out and test to see which one is giving you the issue. The first parts to check in this case would be all of your thermostats and thermal fuses. You can test those parts with a multi meter and they should be reading 0 ohms to be working correctly. If those parts are fine, you should then go on to testing your heating element as well. You can also test that with a multi meter and it should be reading between 0 - 50 ohms. Something else you should also check would be your filter and ducts. Make sure there is absolutely no blockage that would restrict air flow in your appliance. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Checked all fusses thermostat and heat element all tested good heating on hight heat cycle . Do i need to replace my timer?
For model number MEDC200XW1
Hello Ernest, thank you for your question. If the element, thermostats, and fuses are not the issue the timer would be the next part we would recommend replacing. I hope this helps.

My dryer heats but takes long time to dry. Especially jeans average time 60 mins for 4 pair
For model number MEDC200XW1
Hello Bonnie, Thank you for your question. We advise checking the thermostats with a multi-meter. Both sets of prongs should read 0 ohms at room temperature. If your meter needle does not move or your display does not change, the part is bad and will need to be replaced. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

When I turn on my dryer it’s making a loud noise. Any ideas as to why? Thanks!
For model number MEDC200XW1
Hello Clint, Thank you for the question. Since we can not hear the noise we need a bit more of a description. Does the noise sound like a metal rubbing or a banging? Does the drum tumble and work normally and just makes the noise or is there just a noise and no tumbling? The more details to trouble shoot the better. Please submit a new question if you have any follow ups. We are looking forward to hearing from you!

When i turn on my dryer it’s making a loud noise. The noise sounds like metal rubbing (there isn’t any banging) the drum tumbles just fine, but the rubbing metal sound persists and is very loud. Thanks

Hello Clint and thank you for writing.
It certainly sounds like a faulty or loose drum support roller PS11752609, you should check for signs of damage, and replace it if needed. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime.
To reach the heating element you only need to open the back cover of the dryer (about 8 nut-head screws). Remember to disconnect the power.
To remove the heating element there are two small nut-head screws. Remove the two electric wires. Then you can pull the heating element away.
You can check the heating element with an ohm-meter or visually inspect it to see if the heating element spiral wire is broken.
Don't hurry to dispose the old element. My model includes a small electric safety part. You'll need to transfer it to the new heating element (that comes without it)..
First tried heating element and thermal fuse with no luck. Ordered thermal cutoff and fixed problem. Had I used an ohm meter first I would have determined problem before having ordered heating element and fuse, as both had resistance. I wast just lazy and ordered the took the most common failed components first before taking dryer back off.
The repair was easy. the most time consuming part was vacuuming the dust from the back of the Dryer, The repair required removing screw from the back panel of the dryer. Then removing screws from the heating element and unplugging the wires. The only moderately diffculy part was swapping the sensor form the old element.
