Sometimes my washer finishes a full cycle but it doesn't activate the final spin. When it happens, the timer progresses as normal all the way to the end of cycle position, i.e., it doesn't stall or get stick, but the final spin doesn't happen so it's full of water still. I can turn the dial back a bit to the final spin position and it will spin and finish ok. Also, it always spins ok in the earlier part of the cycle. This happens sometimes on white, colour and/or delicate cycles, but sometimes it's all fine.
Does this indicate a bad timer, like probably burnt out or carbonized contacts?
Thanks.
For model number MAV7200AWW
Hello M, thank you for reaching out. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest checking the timer, part number PS11739439, to solve the problem. A malfunctioning timer can most probably cause this problem. We hope this helps!
Spin cycle does not activate ,washer stops with water in tub before final spin cycle

Hi Jeff, thank you for contacting us. Check the drain hose for any kinks or blockages and rectify them. If it is fine, the issue could be with the drain pump, part number PS11741803. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!
Washer does not spin, out. leaves water in rinse cycle.
For model number mav7200aww
Hello Jeff, thank you for getting in touch. Ensure the drain hose is not kinked, clogged, or blocked. Sometimes, the hose can get bent or pinched, which prevents the water from draining properly. The lid switch, part number PS2003435, ensures the washer doesn't operate with the lid open. If it's faulty, the washer might not spin. Check the drain pump, part number PS11741803. The drain pump might be faulty. Listen for unusual noises during the drain cycle. Check the drive belt, part number PS11739438, a loose, broken or damaged belt will not the washer spin. We hope this helps.
Lay washer on front, removed belt. Removed center pulley with thrust bearing (pulley was worn on upper end, against thrust bearing, thrust bearing was worn also). Installed new thrust bearing & pulley kit. Cleaned & lubed slots that motor insulators slide in, installed new belt.
Unlug the AC cord, open the top from the front it snaps open with a little force and hinges on the back, remove the 2 screws on the front cover and take it off, tip the washer and remove the belt, take off the pump hose from the back (I removed the back cover also) and the little hose going to the basket. Remove the 6 springs and lift the complete drum out of the waser and turn it upside down. You can see the plastic snubber ring that is worn, loosen the 6 screws just enough to get the old ring out and the new one in. WARNING (DO NOT TAKE THE SCREWS ALL THE WAY OUT OR THE BRAKE ASSEMBLY WILL RELEASE AND A SPECIAL TOOL IS NEEDED TO PUT IT BACK) Install the new ring, tighten the screws and put the tub back in connecting everything back up and use the 6 new springs. It really isn't that hard to do.
